Understanding WASH Systems with System Dynamics Modeling

Water and sanitation services exist within complex systems. A web of interacting actors and factors influences how WASH services, particularly water pump maintenance systems, are delivered and sustained.

The Sustainable WASH Systems Learning Partnership (SWS) created this infographic that considers interacting  actors and factors in water maintenance cycles, as groundwater pumps go from a state of working, to broken, to repaired. The goal is to enable decision-makers to see and improve their water system functionality.
