Final report: Technical Services for Participatory Vulnerability Assessment, Capacity building, and Participatory Development Planning in Iloilo City

Summary

AECOM International Development (AECOM) is implementing the Water Security for Resilient Economic Growth and Stability (Be Secure) Project. As subcontractor of the Be Secure Project in Iloilo City, the Philippine Partnership for the Development of Human Resources in Rural Areas (PhilDHRRA) supported the main objective of the project to increase resilience to climate- related water stress and hydrological extremes of the local government unit, Water District and other stakeholders in Iloilo City. The Be Secure Project has two major interrelated components to support water security in selected sites in the Philippines. Component 1 aims to increase sustainable access to water supply and wastewater treatment services and Component 2 aims to increase resilience to climate-related water stress and hydrological extremes.

The main objective of this technical assistance was to increase the resilience to climate- related water stress and hydrological extremes of the LGUs, water districts, and other stakeholders in Iloilo City. This report summarizes the activities and outcomes of the project.
